SOPHIA PRODANOVA

Bulgarian violinist is currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. She is one of three outstandingly promising young ensemble instrumentalists selected for the Arcangelo New Ensemblist programme 2020-22. When she was 16 she won a bursary to continue her education at the Yehudi Menuhin School near London. There she studied with Diana Galvydyte.

I worked as Principal Violin Professor at the Yehudi Menuhin School. This meant providing talented players with the best technique and developing their full musical potential for them to enter the premiere Conservatoires such as the Curtis (USA), Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Royal College of Music in London and win prizes at International Competitions such as Menuhin, Grumiaux, Postaccini, Rubinstein to name a few.

I have completed violin studies with professor Natalia Boyarsky at the Yehudi Menuhin School as well as RCM in London and subsequently worked alongside her for a further decade at the YMS.
